World Premiere of: A Litany Of Angels

A Litany of Angels tells the story of Leodegrance de Marciville, a Fifteenth-Century French knight, and the angels in his life.

The first is Ann-Elise, a peasant girl who nurses him back to life after his near-fatal wounding at the Battle of Agincourt. The second, Joan of Arc, earns his respect and honor even though he speaks with her only once at any great length.  The last is Bernadette, his brother’s stepdaughter, who gives him back the ability to love and the resolution to go on.

In the end, Leodegrance comes to accept the will of his God, who he knows to be “querulous and unforgiving.” This play is a rich saga of heroism and pageantry that presents saints in the guise of warriors and angels in the guise of peasants – all seeking to understand and yield to the merciless will of God.

A Litany Of Angels is a special production in addition to our regular season of shows. Tickets are $15 & $12 for seniors and students and are available for purchase.

Playing: Feb. 17–19

Performances: Friday, Saturday @7:30PM & Saturday, Sunday @2:30PM
